| The last vacation our family took this summer was up to the beautiful town of Gasquet, California where we spent our time on the Smith River. I spent most of the trip sticking my feet in the river while drawing in my sketchbook. The above picture was abruptly ended because a bear and her baby suddenly appeared out of the bushes on the other side of the river! We packed out stuff up in under a minute and darted to our car! |

| This spot on the river is called Mary Peacock. We spent the whole day here swimming, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the scenery. |
