It's been a couple of months since I last updated my blog, but I have some drawings to make up for it! Yay! I have been enjoying my summer drawing the architecture and environments of my travels. This drawing is of one of my favorite cottages in Pebble Beach. After many years of admiring this house I finally drew it while traveling to Monterey. All my architecture drawings are created in pen.
On a SketchCrawl trip to Palo Alto my buddy Diego and I ended up drawing architecture at Stanford. This is a quick sketch of Stanford's art building viewed through a grotto of trees. Here is Diego's page to view more awesome art of Stanford: http://drawnbydiego.blogspot.com/
I came across this building and I instantly fell in love with it. It's an old brick church with hay roofs, which was built over a tree. After many years the tree growth has taken over the building. It was like something out of a fairytale and I couldn't pass up drawing it.
